Tips for Conducting Hybrid and In-Person Meetings and Events at ASU
As we welcome people back into our event facilities, event planners and venue operators are implementing systems and protocols to provide in-person experiences that are as safe as possible to reduce potential virus transmission. Join us as we hear from Jeff Rensel, with the Memorial Union and the Student Pavilion, along with Victor Hamburger from 365 Community Union, as they discuss what they have been doing successfully in their venues.
This presentation will focus on a variety of strategies that are either already in place or can be implemented to provide safer environments for hybrid/in-person events. Jeff and Victor will review best practices and case studies from in-person events held during the fall semester and highlight how to leverage our physical spaces and technology to provide engaging experiences for venue users.
Other topics will include:
- Updated cleaning/safety enhancements for in-person events
- Sample set-ups/Social Tables diagramming
- In-house technology resources
- Producing hybrid events
- Completely virtual event environments
This will be a 40-minute presentation will be followed by 20 minutes of Q&A. Resources from this event will be shared on the Office of University Events and Protocol website on the Past Webinars page.
